SSSI Service

Reverend Shelagh's last service for the congregation at St Stephen's was very special.  We were invited to hold the service at a Site of Special Scientific Interest.  Knowing Rev Shelagh's love for all of God's creation, it was apt that her final service should be outdoors.  The service began with a talk about the site, its history and the wildlife that can be seen there.  We heard about the legal status of the site and the responsibility for conservation work that is carried out there.  Sitting on straw bales amongst the trees, for hymns, readings and prayers, was a wonderful experience and everyone who attended said how much they had enjoyed it.  Our special thanks to the owner of the site for the very interesting talk and the opportunity to share the beauty of God's creation.  Here are a few photos from the day.
